
Also called the Black Poplar and many other names, but mostly called ‘yummy’. This mushroom will retain a little bit of crispiness even after well cooked. Surprisingly, it has a lot of ‘umami’ or savory deliciousness. It is a flexible mushroom but it really shines in a dish of linguini in a rich cream sauce with a dash of Parmesan.
Preparation:
As always, you must cook mushrooms before consuming them. Always.

Slice thinly and sautee real butter or olive oil plus butter until golden brown.
